This French Valentine’s Day Lapbook packs up great interactive foldable activities.
And it makes for a great display for parents, too.
Let’s take a closer look at the pockets, pop-up card, and more!
French Valentine’s Day Lapbook
This “dossier interactif” will allow for a ton of language practice.
What does this mean for you and your students?
Some of the things students will get to do:
– speak the language by interviewing classmates and by reporting their findings.
– write about the things they love and don’t love.
– use vocabulary related to “la Saint-Valentin” to complete the tasks.
– review everything at home as they can carry the completed lapbook anywhere.
Lapbook Cover: there are two cover options – one for boys and one for girls
Cupid Graphic Organizer Foldable Flaps: students write about Cupid under the flaps. They can write from a few words to fully-structured sentences, depending on their level of proficiency in the language.
Heart Sorting Pockets: students write what they love and don’t love on the strips of paper. The paper strips are then placed in the right heart pocket.
Bar Graphing Activity: students interview one another and record the answers on the bar graph. They can later report on their findings orally or in writing.
Pop-up card: what gift would students like to give to their best friends? They choose from three options and create the card. They can write about the gift they chose and the reasons for choosing it.
“Je t’aime” in 5 languages puzzles: love is universal, so why not practice French, but also add a bit of multicultural awareness into your classroom? These puzzles will get kids to practice the names of some languages in French. If you have students from other countries (or kids who speak different languages at their homes) in your classroom, ask them to teach their classmates how to say “Je t’aime” in their languages.
